Can not start the game with 2170 ARRC

Postby elendell » 13.05.2016, 21:23

Hello,

sorry for this automatic translation but I speak neither German nor English.
I installed anno 2170 ARRC with the setup but when I run anno 2070, I get a screen saying Uplay: Can not start the game, the game is not installed.

If I uninstall 2170 ARRC, I can once again launch anno 2070 normally.

It seems to be impossible to start the game without installing AutoPatcher but 2170 ARRC removes AutoPatcher.

Note: My Anno 2070 is in French with the addon Deep Ocean. (v 2.00.7780)

I also tried installing large maps without ARRC 2170 using RDA Explorer for patch8 and addon1 files but AutoPatcher recovering the original files at launch.

Would someone kindly and the chance to help me?

Try starting UPlay in offline-mode.

Thank you very much for your help. I had not found the procedure and I had never tried the offline mode. Here is how that works

1st time :

1) Launch Uplay (not the game)
2) In the Uplay options, check "Always start offline.
3) Start the game in offline
4) Wait for the game to be active (for detection AnnoCookie)
5) Start AnnoCookie

The following times:

1) Start the game directly (automatically offline)
2) Wait for the game to be active
3) Start AnnoCookie

It's perfect. I can finally test the mod. I have not yet tried the large maps but I guess that will also work.

Thanks again for your reply. :good:
